When you stay at Wildflower Hall, near Shimla, you may find it almost impossible to pry yourself away from the large bay windows of your room. As we savoured our alfresco breakfast, we felt a stab of nostalgia; an acute awareness of what we city dwellers have lost.

Satoli? The name did not really ring a bell when a friend suggested we go there…. Mukteshwar, the hill station that lies in its vicinity did…But not too keen to visit the latter we decided on Satoli — a small village tucked away in the hills of Kumaon.

One Partridge Hill is built on a hill top in a small village called Satoli. Satoli is a very tiny populated village nestled in the Kumaon Region of Uttrakhand. You can reach this place via Bhimtal taking the road that leads to Almora.
Delhi has a hill station to call its own - Nainital of course! We love the place for its cool weather, for its pretty greens, for the welcoming locals, for all the adventures & so much more! However, today we want to take you a little farther up. Perched atop the high Kumaon Hills, there’s this serene village of Satoli near Mukteshwar.
